Discover the foundation of effective TMJ/D treatment in this introductory intra-oral course designed for massage and bodywork professionals. Learn how cervical dysfunction contributes to TMJ/D, explore deep cervical and infra/suprahyoid structures, and gain hands-on experience with intra-oral techniques for pain and dysfunction relief. We’ll also address facial asymmetry and buccal techniques to support balanced, functional outcomes.

TMJ/D Intra-oral

• Identify and Assess: Palpation skills are key to providing proper treatment for deep cervical, infra/suprahyoid and intra-oral structures. Before moving on to technique, we will make sure everyone feels very comfortable with this.

• Master effective External and Intra-oral massage techniques for TMJ/D relief

• Address Facial asymmetry through targeted manual Buccal techniques

This class focuses heavily on anatomy and palpation guides. Without knowing where you are suppose to put your hands while inside the mouth can be very difficult to discern through an online course. This class is meant to really take our time, using step by step guides on how to find these intra-oral spaces with ease.

What to expect at class, a rough syllabus:

• 9am - Contraindications and Self Massage Anatomy Review

• 10:30am - MODEL #1 - 90mins Myofascial techniques for Platysma, SCM, Infra/Supra Hyoids & External TMJ

• BREAK - 12pm-12:30pm 

• 12:30pm - Client #2 - 2hr- Intra-Oral Buccal Massage Techniques for Deep Intra-Oral structures including Tongue Releases

• 2:30pm- Q & A on Marketing Techniques you can use to stand out.
